Alvin L. Warren

"To everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under the heaven." Ecclesiates 3:1-8. Alvin L. Warren was born as the third child of Joseph and Lillie Warren on April 2, 1951. Alvin departed this life May 19, 2011 at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, Ark. Alvin was fondly called "Bomber" by all his friends and family. Alvin was a resident of Luxora, Ark. and later in life moved to Little Rock, Ark. Alvin confessed a hope in Christ Jesus. Alvin was a graduate of Harrison High in Blytheville, Ark. Alvin went on to continue his education at Philander Smith College in Little Rock, Ark. Alvin taught in Osceola Public School. Alvin was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; grandparents and a brother, Joseph Warren Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife, Sharon Warren; two daughters, Jillian (Fred) Warren of Pine Bluff, Ark. and Andrea Guiden of Little Rock, Ark.; three sons, Marcus Warren of Luxora, Ark., Craig Warren of Trumann, Ark., and Michael Warren of Jonesboro, Ark.; three brothers, Marwin Warren of Little Rock, Ark., Bryan (Tonia) Baker of Memphis, Tenn., Chatom (Marquaita) Warren of Fort Leonardwood, Mo.; three sisters, Donna Carol (Ronald) Nelson of Jefferson City, Mo., Gwyneth Cloyd of Ellendale, Tenn., Jackie Rhodes of Washington, D.C.; his grandmother, Ida B. Johnson of Memphis, Tenn.; two uncles, Calvin (Savanah) Warren of Milwaukee, Wis., Jordan Johnson of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; four aunts, Lucille (Bill) Harrison of Blytheville, Ark., Gloria (Don) Walters of Little Rock, Ark., Gwen (Alex) Perry and Wanda Hubbard of Memphis, Tenn.; one sister-in-law, Willa Warren of Luxora, Ark.; stepmother, Katherine Warren of Luxora, Ark.; five grandchildren; a special friend, Charles Howard of Blytheville, Ark.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation is Friday, May 27, 2011 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola, Ark. Funeral services are Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Zion Chapel in Luxora, Ark. Interment will be at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola, Ark.
