Julia Victoria Pickell

Julia Victoria Pickell, 86, of Conway, formerly of Little Rock, died Saturday, May 28, 2011. Julia was born June 7, 1924 in Sand Springs, Okla., to the late Albert and Melva Woodrow. She is also preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers. Julia was a faithful, loving mother and grandmother, a wonderful cook who loved music, reading, and writing letters to family. She was a Christian and active church member all her life, belonging to Hebron Baptist and Lakeshore Baptist in Little Rock, and most recently attending Woodland Heights Baptist Church in Conway. Ms. Pickell is survived by children Roger Pickell of Little Rock, Debbie Holland and husband Craig of Conway, and Darrell Pickell of Little Rock, daughter-in-law Stacy Pickell of Conway, and grandchildren Sarah, Ben and Daniel Holland and Tyler, Logan and Westin Pickell. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011 in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Funeral Home, with Rev. Dickie Boyles officiating. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, with Jerry Thomas, Gary Pederson and grandsons serving as pallbearers.
