Grover Bill Bowers Jr.

Grover Bill Bowers Jr., 70, of West Memphis, Ark., passed away Nov. 4, at Baptist Trinity Hospice in Collierville. He was a member of West Memphis First Methodist Church, a football coach, administrator, and financial adviser. Mr. Bowers was born July 20, 1941, in Earle, Ark., to the late Grover Bill Bowers Sr. and Helen Dexter Bowers. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bonnie Caffey Bowers; a son, Billy Ray Bowers, of Monroe, Ga.; two daughters, Ramona Bowers Brossett, of North Little Rock, Ark., and Kimberly Bowers Rameriz, of Osceola, Ark.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his mother, Helen Bowers, of Osceola; a sister, Mary Helen Groves, also of Osceola; and one brother, Bobby Bowers, of Wynne. Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 6, 2011, from 6 - 8 p.m., at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, and service 2 p.m., Tuesday, in the Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Ark.
