Charles "David" Chase

Charles "David" Chase, age 60, of Alexander, left this world to be with his Heavenly Father on November 9, 2011. He was born on March 14, 1951 in Hot Springs, the son of Charles Elmer Chase and Olive Weatherford Chase. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Linda Caruthers. David graduated from Lake Hamilton High School and has many very good friends from Hot Springs. He worked all of his life in the Hot Springs area, David was a true handyman. He loved life, music, NASCAR and his dogs, Susie and Sassy, but above all he loved his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Sandi Hicks Chase, who will miss him dearly; his sisters, Karen Chase of Hot Springs, Kathy Gilbert of Bernice, Louisiana and Charlotte Tigue of Glenwood; his brother, Terry Don Chase of Georgia; his Uncle Odell and Aunt Kathryn Chase of Pearcy; his niece and her husband, Shawna and Neil Wardrope of Edinburgh, Scotland; and other special family members. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, November 12, 2011 in the Oma Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs. Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service on Saturday. Memorials may be made in his honor to the Humane Society of your choice.
