Mary Elizabeth Malone

Mary Elizabeth Malone went to be with the Lord in heaven on Nov. 18, 2011. She was born on Sept. 15, 1934 in Morley, Mo. to the late Gus and Margaret Porter. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Bennie Malone. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Charles Porter. She graduated from Caruthersville High School in Missouri in 1952, and she retired from the Pemiscott County Assessor's Office in Missouri. She was a member of the Central Church of Christ in Caruthersville, Mo., and the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ in Little Rock, Ark. She is survived by her husband of three years, Jim Malone; son, Gordon Malone, and his wife, Tonya, of Allen, Texas; her daughter, Toni Goble, and her husband, Joseph, of Maumelle, Ark.; her grandson, Dustin Ivey, and his wife, Dixie of Maumelle, Ark.s; her granddaughter, Kristin Ivey, of Maumelle, Ark.; her grandson Andy Goble, and his wife, Angie, of Collierville, Tenn.; her great-grandson, James Palmer Goble, of Collierville, Tenn.; two brothers, Bill and Jim Porter, of Grants Pass, Ore.; her sister, Norma Patterson, of Grants Pass, Ore.; her sister, Judy Salazar, of Sepulveda, Calif.; and a host of family and friends. Mary was a compassionate woman who cared about others more than herself. Her greatest love was her husband, Bennie, for whom she had unconditional love. The family will receive friends and family 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 21, 2011 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 501-224-8300 in Little Rock, Ark. Funeral services will be held following the visitation at the funeral home with Mr. Danny Burleson officiating. Interment will be at Riverwood Memorial Gardens in Maumelle, Ark.
