ROSE WOOD SCHUSTER, 89, of Little Rock, passed away Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011. She was born Jan. 1, 1922, in Gadoros, Hungary. At the age of 16, she moved to Canada and from there to the United States. Rose attended interior design classes at the University of Arkansas and became a designer for Pfeifer-Blass department store. She is survived by her husband Roy, of 48 years. Two daughters, Joan Sackm, of Hot Springs, Billie and Ed Shaffer, of Houston, Texas; and one son, Marshall and Nancy Schuster, of Little Rock, and nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Rose is also survived by her family in Canada; three sisters, Margaret Sellers, of LaSalle, Ontario, Madalena Julia Vedder, of Windsor, Ontario, Sophie Judith Salsette, of San Francisco, Calif., and her brother, Robert Louis Black, of Windsor, Ontario. She will truly be missed in the lives of many. The family wishes to thank Dr. Benny Green and the kindness shown by the staff of St. Vincent's Infirmary.
