Joe Ann Ashburn

Joe Ann Ashburn, 64, of Marianna, Ark., passed away Friday, Nov. 18, 2011. Joe Ann was born Feb. 18, 1947 to Eugene D. Wood and Mildred Mc Elduff Wood in Brickeys, Ark. Joe Ann is survived by her husband, Jimmy Lee Ashburn of the home; two sons, Cary Dee Ashburn (Deanne) of Snow Camp, N.C., and Matt Allen Ashburn (Krystal) of Marianna, Ark.; one daughter, Sonia Ann Callahan (Joseph) of Panama City, Fla.; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two sisters, Sarah Fletcher (Junior) of Marianna, Ark., and Minnie Sue Davis of Aubrey, Ark.; one brother J. D. Wood (Mary) of Monticello, Ark. She was preceded by her parents; one son, Jimmy Lee Ashburn Sr.; one sister, Shirley Lawson; two brothers, James & Elmer Wood. Joe Ann was a member of the Church of God; she was a loving wife, home maker, mother and grandmother and a sister to her family. Pallbearers will be Bo Conner, Johnnie Pickett, James Ashburn, Jimmy Ashburn Jr., Chris Fletcher, Dennis Wood and Joel Wood. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dale Fletcher and Ernie Ford. Services will be Monday, Nov. 21, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Roller-Citizens Chapel in Marianna with Reverend Charles Bradley and Reverend Bobby Ashburn officiating.
