Emma Evelyn Mitchell, age 85, of Jessieville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 23, 2011. She was born December 27, 1925, at Bluffton, Arkansas, the daughter of Otis Bryan Billingsley and Lou Alice Williams Billingsley. On April 28, 1945 she was married to Ivan Leonard Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 48 years, Ivan Leonard Mitchell; one infant daughter, Tammy Lynn Mitchell; one sister, Imogene Walters; one brother, Darrell Billingsley; two sons-in-law, Roy T. Syler and Roy Wagner; and one daughter-in-law, Barbara Mitchell. She was a member of the Jessieville Church of Christ. She was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who loved the Lord with all her heart. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Larry Ivan and Sharon Mitchell of Hot Springs Village, Mark and Robin Mitchell of Jessieville and David and Debby Mitchell of Jessieville; three daughters and one son-in-law, Lenda Evelyn Mitchell Wagner of Gilt Edge, Tennessee, Darlene Roberts of Camden and Arlene Mitchell Shafer and husband, David Shafer of Hot Springs Village; one brother and sister-in-law, Dexter and Helen Billingsley of Bluffton; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Alice and Lester Dale of Bluffton, Gwendolyn May of Eudora, Kansas and Louetta and George Hance of Ola; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Services will be held on Monday, November 28, 2011 at 10 a.m. in the Jessieville Church of Christ with Bro. Greg Balentine officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.. Interment will be held at 3 p.m. in the Silver Hill Cemetery, near El Dorado under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs. Pallbearers will be Mitchell Wagner, Matthew Wagner, Michael Mitchell, Jonathan Shafer, Chris Mitchell and Marty Bowers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jason Pugh, Derrick Sullivan, Joshua Finkbeiner, Joey Massey, Shawn Finkbeiner and Brandon Vines.
