Anna Lee Ransom

Anna Lee Ransom, 76, of Gentry, Ark., died Nov. 24, 2011, at Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehab, Siloam Springs, Ark. Born Sept. 20, 1935, in Siloam Springs, Ark., she was the daughter of Allen Kirby and Viola Mallory Kirby Smith. She lived in California for a few years but lived most of her life in Gentry and Siloam Springs. She was a homemaker and janitor. Anna was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include Elmo Garman of the home; two daughters, Debra Ann Wilkens and husband Brian, of Siloam Springs, Ark., and Cindy Godin and husband Richard, of Gentry, Ark.; two sons, Randy Ransom and wife Debbie, and Michael Ransom and wife Sherry, all of Gentry; step-children, Karen Rogers and husband Steve, of Westville, Okla., Jodie Wilmoth and husband Lewis, of Gentry, Steve Garman, of Wrightsville, Ark., Barbara Bolin and husband Johnny, of Stilwell, Okla., and Rod Garman and wife Jamie, of Westville, Okla.; eight grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Kitty Lou Browning, of Siloam Springs, Ina Mae Stockton and husband Sonny, of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Judy Ivey and husband Jim, of Gentry; and one brother, Rick Smith and wife Sue, of Grove, Okla. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Ark., with Bruce Holland and Rod Garman officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery, near Siloam Springs, Ark. Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 28, from 6 or 8 p.m., at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
