Donzel J. Goodner

Donzel J. Goodner, of East End, Ark., was born Nov. 3, 1935, at Buckner, Ark., the son of the late Roy and Mary Doris Miller Goodner. He was a member of Bingham Road Baptist Church in Little Rock, was a United States Army Korean war veteran, and was a 33rd degree Mason and member of Iron Springs Lodge 342. Mr. Goodner was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed fishing and hunting, was retired from Southwestern Bell telephone company, and had formerly sung in the Anderson Baptist Quartet. Mr. Goodner died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011, at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, at the age of 76. Survivors include his wife, Wanda Goodner, of East End; son, Donny Goodner, of Clarksville; daughter, Kim Harwell, of Little Rock; step-son, Joey Livingston, of East End; step-daughter, Tonya Crump, of East End; brother, Elbert Dale Goodner, of Hope; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, at Bingham Road Baptist Church, in Little Rock. Visitation will also be at the church on Monday, from 9 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at 4 p.m., Monday, at Greens Chapel Cemetery near Dierks, Ark. Arrangements by Memorial Gardens Funeral Home of Sheridan 870-942-1306.
