Elizabeth Peterson

Elizabeth Pearl Ballew Peterson, 92, of Bentonville, formerly of Forrest City, Ark., departed this life on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011 in Bentonville at Bradford House Nursing Facility. She was born Jan. 12, 1919 in Jonesboro, Ark., to parents Zeb B. and Pearl A. Ballew. She was the last living of their nine children. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Allen Peterson III. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her two sons, Richard A. Peterson of Little Rock, Ark., and Thomas Peterson of Forrest City, Ark.; a daughter, Emma Peterson Miller of Rogers, Ark.; three grandchildren, Robin Peterson Scheiderer of Bella Vista, Ark., April Peterson Guererro of Cherry Valley, Ark., and Zeb Miller of Bentonville, Ark. She also leaves behind six great-granddaughters and one great-grandson. Elizabeth moved with her husband Pete to Forrest City, Ark. in 1949, where they raised three children. She was a homemaker and an artist. Some years after Pete's death, she moved to Bentonville. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011 at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Dr. Gene Crawley officiating. Burial will follow at the City Cemetery in Jonesboro.
