Tommy C. Campbell, 66, of White Hall, died Saturday, November 26, 2011 at UAMS in Little Rock. He was born June 29, 1945 in Texarkana, Arkansas, son of the late Collie W. and Frances Nell Cheney Campbell. Mr. Campbell was reared and received his early education in Shongaloo, Louisiana and Pine Bluff, graduating from Dollarway High School. He attended North Carolina State University for 2 years before earning his degree from Arkansas State Teachers College (now University of Central Arkansas). While attending Arkansas State Teachers College, Tommy became a member of Phi Sigma Epsilon Fraternity (now Phi Sigma Kappa). Mr. Campbell earned his Masters in Education from Auburn University. Mr. Campbell taught industrial arts and later computer technology in the Pine Bluff School District from 1967-1999. He taught at Dial, Southeast, Belair and Jack Robey Junior High Schools. Mr. Campbell was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pine Bluff. He was also a member of Arkansas Retired Teachers Association and Jefferson County Retired Teachers Association. Survivors include his wife, Lura Cunningham Campbell, whom he married March 25, 1970 in Pine Bluff; daughter, Suzanne Bergeron and her husband, Tony, of Hensley; and triplet grandchildren, Max, Sydney and Zack Bergeron. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Reverend Dean Clausing officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Robinson's.
