Ralph Howard Hosto

Ralph Howard Hosto, 83, went home to Heaven to join his wife, Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis. He was born July 20, 1928 in Waldenburg to the late Arnor and Martha Hosto. He was a farmer and a member of the Zion Lutheran Church. Mr. Hosto was an avid rock collector and a man of vast knowledge. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Evelyn Archer Hosto. Survivors include three daughters, Susan Ewald Helka of Leander, Texas, Debra House (David) of Biloxi, Mississippi and Loura Lea Scoggins (Dennis) of Weiner; eight grandchildren, Trey Ewald, Timothy Ewald, Valerie Stephens, Arick House, Ira House, Jenifer Fralia, Nathan Scoggins and Anna Scoggins; six great-grandchildren. Visitation was held be Thursday, October 13, 2011 at the Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home in Jonesboro. A celebration of his life will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Waldenburg with Rev. Albert Quoss officiating under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
