C. V. Arrington Jr., 74, of Stephens, Ark., passed away Friday, Oct. 14, 2011. He was born Oct. 6, 1937, in Converse, La., to Corbern Victor and Katherine Bazemore Arrington. He was a Christian and a member of Church of Christ and was a graduate of Stephens High School and attended Southern State University and Harding College. He was owner of C. V.'s department store in Stephens, Ark., and was salesman and citizen of the year. He was a talented piano player and loved gospel music. He was preceded in death by his parents; aunt, Ellen Bazemore Paul; grandmother, Mamie Harper Bazemore; and grandfather, Ira Bazemore. He is survived by his brothers, Jerry Arrington and wife Linda of Magnolia, Ark., and Garvis Arrington of Stephens, Ark.; nieces, Melanie Eiler and husband Ben, and Mary Arrington-Deloach all of Little Rock, Ark.; great nephews, Chase Arrington of Camden, Ark., Brett Arrington of Russellville, Ark., Benjamin Arrington of Camden, Ark., and Ethan Eiler of Little Rock, Ark.; nephews, Brady Arrington of Stephens, Ark., Adam Arrington and wife, Michelle of Rogers, Ark.; great nieces, Katherine Arrington, Isabel Eiler, Ainslee Eiler, and Lily Deloach, all of Little Rock and Abigail Arrington of Rogers, Ark. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 17, 2011, at Troy (Liberty) Church of Christ, with burial in Liberty Cemetery at Troy, Ark. Jerry Arrington and Dwight Linkous will officiate the services. Visitation will be Sunday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
