Charles Lewis Warneke

Charles Lewis Warneke, 76, died Oct. 9, in Independence, Mo. He was born in Hot Springs, Ark., to the late Lon and Charlene Warneke. He was predeceased by his wife, Gene Ann. He is survived by his three children, Cory Warneke and his wife, Stacey and their children, Natalie, Nathan, and Nicholas, of Independence, Mo. He is also survived by his son, Lon Warneke and his daughter, Elizabeth Yarboro, and her husband Jay, of Little Rock, Ark. He is also survived by his sister, Lonnie Luebben and her husband, William, of Hot Springs, their son, James and daughter, Elizabeth, and her husband, Bruce. Charles graduated from Carlisle, Ark., High School and Henderson State University where he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity. He worked for the Red Cross in Springfield, Mo., and in Wichita and Shawnee Mission, Kan. He worked for the United Way in Colorado Springs, Colo. He returned to Hot Springs in his retirement to enjoy fishing on its three lakes. Arrangements were entrusted to Speaks Legacy Family Chapel of Independence, Mo.
