Mildred Sherry "Doll" McCollum

Mildred Sherry "Doll" McCollum, passed away Monday, Oct. 17, 2011 at 2:25 p.m. at her residence. She was 91, a native of Little Rock, Ark., and resident of Baton Rouge. A memorial service will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church on Friday, Oct. 21, 2011 at 1 p.m. conducted by Rev. Jerry Martin. Interment at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo., at a later date. She is survived by two daughters, Sherry McCollum Mayberry, St. Louis, Mo. and Sandra McCollum Rikhoff, Baton Rouge; one son, Mack McColllum, Clearwater, Fla.; one sister, Sherry (PW) Hunt, Wilmington, Del., nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 27 great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-greatgrandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest E. "Pete" McCollum, parents, Miles and Mildred Sherry, son, Michael McCollum. She loved to knit, needlepoint, crochet, read, and be with her grandchildren. She always had a smile for everyone. Special thanks to Bea LeFleur, Ursula Solomon, Sylvia Spears, Darlene Hayes, the ministers from St. Patrick's who brought communion on a weekly basis.
