Joe Bob Garner Sr., beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Sunday, September 11, 2011. He was born April 27, 1936 to the late Birdie Hefley Garner and Fred Garner in Hot Springs. He was an amazing cheerful man; the true meaning of unconditional love. He always had a smile on his face; love and friendship in his heart. He was loved by many and he loved many in return. He will be missed so dearly. He was a member of First United Methodist Church; a United States Army Veteran; retired as Assistant Chief after 20 years with the Hot Springs Fire Department; worked 17 years for the EPA-ADEQ and currently employed with CSO as head of insulation. He is predeceased by his parents and one brother, Pete Garner. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nancy Garner; three children, Joey Garner Jr., Kimber (Smokey) Lynn and Eric Lance (Alison) Garner; two grandchildren, Lacey Garner and Joshua Garner; sisters, Joyce (Richard) West and Betty Adams; one brother, David (Bonnie) Garner; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday at Hot Springs Funeral Home. Services will be 1 p.m., Friday at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Reverend Bud Reeves officiating.
