Z. Ruth VanWyngarden

Z. Ruth VanWyngarden, 93, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, died Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Highlands Health & Rehabilitation Center in Bella Vista, Arkansas. She was born July 3, 1918 in Evanston, Illinois to Delbert Wesley Poff and Zeta Lucinda Massey Poff. Ruth was a wonderful mother, active in the community and an avid Bridge and Mah Jongg player. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Allen VanWyngarden and son-in-law John Kirkpatrick Skeeles. She is survived by her daughters, Carol Lynn Skeeles and Joan Lee Hackett, and son-in-law James. K. Hackett; eight grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren. A memorial aervice will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the University of Arkansas in benefit of the J. Kirk Skeeles Memorial Scholarship: University of Arkansas, 300 University, Fayetteville, Arkansas 72701.
