Johnnie William Parks

Johnnie William Parks, 72, of Houston, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord, April 2, 2012. He was born July 1, 1939, in Bigelow, Arkansas, to the late John Henry and Hannah West (Antell) Parks. He was a member of Pleasant Valley General Baptist Church for 40 plus years, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two sons, Dave Leslie Parks and John Adam Parks; and a number of brothers and sisters. Johnnie is survived by his wife, Ruby Parks; son, Frankie Parks (Hannah); daughter, Brenda Richardson (Scotty); four grandchildren, Austin and Haden Richardson and Charlotte and Olivia Parks; brother, Herschel Elsberry Parks; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, in Conway. Johnnie's funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at Pleasant Valley General Baptist Church, with Bro. Billy Zulpo officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, near Bigelow. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Valley General Baptist Church Building Fund.
