Charles "Jim" Dailey

Charles "Jim" Dailey of Tucson, Ariz., son of William Daily and the late Lucille Hardin Dailey, was born December 13, 1944 in Mobile, Alabama. He died April 4, 2012 at University Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona, at the age of 67 years, four months and 22 days. He was united in marriage to Janis K. Foss in 1964. To this union three children were born. He served his country in the United Stated Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a UAW Committee man for General Motors Manufacturing Co. for 17 years. Survivors include his children, Kristine Dailey of South Bend, Ind., Kimberly Dailey of Tucson, Ariz. and Kelly Meshell of Gains, Mich.; former wives, Janis Foss Wright of Flint, Mich., and Angelika Leary Dailey of Foley, Ala.; grandchildren, Frederick Strickland, Karrissa Strickland, Andrew Buraszeski, Russell Mesheel, Charles Meshell, and Joseph Meshell; lots of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Nola Mae, Earlean, William Jr., Roberta, Lonnie E., Leeroy, Nellie Louise, Betty Jo, and twins Emmalee and Emmaline, and his mother. Services are Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Cox-Blevins Chapel beginning at 2 p.m. with burial in Salem Cemetery under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem. Visitation is Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Cox-Blevins Chapel.
