Oma Widmer

Oma Widmer, age 98, of Mineral Springs, Ark., died on April 5, 2012 in Nashville, Ark. She was born on December 10, 1913 in Carryville, AR, the daughter of Joe and Lydia (Long) Baker. She attended Baptist and Methodist churches all her life and was a member of Central Baptist Church in Mineral Springs. In addition to her parents, Lydia and Joe Baker, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Z. Widmer; her three sisters, Tressie Wing, Joyce Holmes, and Lucy Keaton; two brothers, Paul Baker and Jack Baker; and a son-in-law, Jerry Schaal. Survivors include, three children, a son, Al Widmer and his wife, Susan of Watchung, New Jersey, a daughter, Cathy Price and her husband, Daryl of Springdale, AR, and a daughter, Susan Schaal-Hartness and her husband, Larry Hartness; eight grandchildren, Joe Widmer and wife, Adrienne of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Miles Widmer and wife, Tawny, of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Sterling Price and wife, Teddy of Bella Vista, Ark., Mark Price of Jenks, Okla., Melody Hale of Springdale, Ark., Henry G Schaal of Fayetteville, Ark., George Schaal and wife, Christine Kim of Bethesda, Maryland, and Mary Schaal of Las Vegas, Nevada; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville, with Brother Ben Jones officiating. Burial to follow in Mineral Springs Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville, Ark.
