Virginia Sue Rankin Wright, 74, of Hensley, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, April 17th, 2012 at her home. She was born March 20th, 1938 in Murfreesboro, Arkansas to the late Ben E. and Mary Richardson Rankin. Virginia's family moved to Little Rock when she was young, where her father and uncle would later work in state government. She was a 1955 graduate of Central High School, having been a member of the Gold Jackets. She was also a 1959 graduate of Arkansas Tech University, having earned a Bachelor's degree in Education. She taught school in Colorado for two years before returning to Arkansas to marry Robert "Bob" Wright on September 8, 1961. She taught in the Little Rock School District until she and Bob started a family in 1966. After her children began school, she taught in the Sheridan School District at East End Elementary for 13 years. Virginia had a strong Christian faith that she instilled in her children and was a member of Spring Lake Church of the Nazarene. Cherishing her memory are her husband of 50 Years Robert "Bob" Wright; her son, Richard Wright of East End; daughter Kaytee Wright (Alan Leveritt) of North Little Rock; five grandchildren, Brittany, Sarah, and Amanda Wright, Lila and Ethan Leveritt; her brother, Terry Rankin (Gay) of St. George, Utah, brother in law, Bill Wright (Linda) of Kalispell, Montana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. A celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday April 22nd, 2012 at Spring Lake Church of the Nazarene at East End with Pastor Philip Stein officiating. Burial will follow at Edgewood Memorial Park at North Little Rock. The family will receive friends from 12:15 to 1 p.m. at the church on Sunday.
