M. GREGORY OXNER, 47, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, April 20, 2012. Greg graduated from Harrison High School in 1982 and attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He worked for NAPA Auto Parts/Genuine Parts Company for over 22 years. Greg was in military service first with the Army Reserves and subsequently with the Arkansas Army National Guard for 26 years, serving a tour of duty in Iraq in 2005-2006 and he was scheduled for deployment to Afghanistan in the summer of 2012. He loved serving his country and was committed to fighting for freedom. Greg was a member of The Bible Church of Little Rock. Greg loved nothing more than spending time with his family and was a devoted husband and father. No one ever loved his wife or children more selflessly than he did. Greg is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 28 years, Terri Hornbeck Oxner of Maumelle; his children, daughter Holly Elizabeth Oxner Hurn and husband, Paul of Little Rock; sons Gregory Tanner Oxner and Christopher Shields Oxner and daughters McKenzi Joy Oxner and Kayli Grace Oxner, all of Maumelle; his mother, Mary Steward Pledger of Harrison; father Ruben Marco Oxner and wife, Debbie of Lincoln, Ark.; brother Steven Marco Oxner of Wichita, Kan.; in-laws Dwayne and Barbara Hornbeck of DeWitt; grandmother-in-law, Vernie Koen, of DeWitt; brother-in-law Steve Hornbeck and wife, Cathy of White Hall; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at The Bible Church of Little Rock with Pastor Tim Senn officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Monday, April 23, 2012 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, (501) 224-8300.
