Beatrice (Mama Bea) Byrd, 85, of Dallas, Texas, by the way of Little Rock passed away Monday, April 23, 2012. She leaves to cherish her memory children; Willie Mae (Arthur) Moore of Little Rock, Ark.; Bertha (BJ) Anderson of Dallas, Texas; Karen D. (Ben) Starks Dallas, Texas; Lisa R. Byrd, Little Rock, Ark., Cleaster Bryant and Lester L. Byrd, Little Rock; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. The last farewell and tributes to her life will be shared tomorrow, 11 a.m. at Covenant of Zion Cathedral Church, 3023 West,12th Street. Mrs. Byrd will lie in state today from 1-5 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
