Arnold M. McCarty

Arnold M. McCarty, a longtime resident of Greers Ferry, passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at his home at the age of 92 years. He and his wife Pearl Davis McCarty had been married for 67 years. He was a retired farmer, U.S. Army World War II veteran, a member of Kever-Taylor VFW Post, a Mason, and a member of West Side Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Pearl; son, Jerry (Cassandra) McCarty; daughter, Patricia (Larry) Thomas; grandchildren, James and Jeremy Thomas, Rebekah Coursey, Tiffany Stephenson, Paul McCarty, and Caleb McCarty; and ten great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, 6-8 p.m. at West Side Baptist Church with funeral services Tuesday at the church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Shiloh Crossroads Cemetery.
