Johnny Truman Venable, 80 of El Paso, passed from this life on Sunday, December 2, 2012. Born in Cadron Bottoms, Arkansas on December 30, 1931, he was a son of Luther and Ola Keeter Venable. Mr. Venable will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He retired from AP & L (Entergy) after 36 years of service. He was a member of El Paso First Baptist Church where he served as Chairman of the Deacons. He was a member of the Arkansas National Guard.

Survivors include his wife Wilma Oakley Venable; sons: Bruce William Venable and wife Rita of Monticello and Gary Allen George and wife Susie of El Dorado; daughters: Sandra Carol Wise of El Paso, Pamela Venable Roberson of Jacksonville and Donna Sue Phares and Husband Kerry of Spokane, Mo.; grandchildren: Zack Wise, Lucas Wise, April Burns, Grayson Holt. Chris Venable, Ashley Venable and Jeremy George; great-grandchildren: Drake Wise, Tyler Holt, Presley Burns and Isabella Holt and a sister, Jo Bradley of Wichita, Kan.

Mr. Venable was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Georgia Carolyn Venable; sons-in-law: Dale Eugene Roberson and Donald Lee Wise; grandson, Matthew Ryan Phares and a brother, James "Red" Keeter.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at El Paso First Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Grubbs and Bro. Robert Meeks officiating. Interment will follow at Grizzard Cemetery in El Paso. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. 501-327-7727. Online guest book:
