Mary Elizabeth Kaufman

MARY ELIZABETH KAUFMAN died on Dec. 14, 2012 in Little Rock. She was born in 1932 in Batesville, Ark. to Carl and Abbie Snapp Arnold. She graduated from Desha High School and the University of Arkansas where she was a member of Delta Gamma sorority. Her interest in genealogy led her to join several historical and patriotic societies such as the Huguenot Society, Questers, National Society of Colonial Dames of American, Daughters of American Revolution, First Families of Tennessee, and Arkansas Pioneers. Among those surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Pam Kaufman of Cordova, S.C. and John and Faye Kaufman of Wichita, Kan.; one grandchild, Charley Kaufman, and five nieces and nephews and nine great-nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Kenneth Kaufman; brothers, William Arnold and his wife, Bobbie, and Carl Arnold, and nephews Robert Brent Arnold and William Arnold. Funeral service will be held at Second Presbyterian Church in Little Rock at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012. Following with burial 3 p.m., at Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville, Ark.
