Dale Graddy

Wayne Dale Graddy, age 85, of Benton, passed away Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012. He was born Dec. 14, 1927 in Morganton, Ark,. Mr. Graddy served in the U.S. Army and was Chief of the Springhill Fire Department for over 20 years. He was a carpenter and a member of the Highway Church of Christ in Benton. Mr. Graddy was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mattie Pearl Graddy; brother, Ralph Graddy and two sisters, Ruby Cullum and Laveda Haltom. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary McMurry Graddy of Benton; two sons, Mark Graddy (Debbie) of Mabelvale and Robert Graddy (Leah) of Benton; step-son, Rick McMurry of Denver, Colo.; step-daughter, Rebecca Garcia of Maui, Hawaii; two brothers, Ray Graddy of Benton and James Graddy of St. Louis, Missouri; two sisters, Hazel Flaxa of Las Vegas, Nevada and Lois Morgan of Springfield, Missouri; four grandchildren, Cody Graddy, Kelsey Bradshaw, Zach Graddy and Emma Graddy and one great-granddaughter, Avery Bradshaw. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19 at Ashby Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. with burial at Forest Hills Cemetery.
