Madelyn Grace Johnston, 8, of Conway went to her Lord on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012. She was born on Friday, December 10, 2004, in Conway to T.J. and Rachel (Nichols) Johnston. Madelyn came into the world surrounded by a loving family. She was the perfect blend of her parents – her mother's beauty, steadiness, and since of justice and her father's intuition, emotion, and desire to defend those she loved. Madelyn impacted all who knew her. She loved and she loved in a big way. She never held back. Madelyn was a second grader at Woodrow Cummins Elementary School where she enjoyed her friends and her school work. She was a perfectionist and was never happy with anything but an "A". She loved shopping, the color pink, crab legs, and PF Changs. She was both an accomplished artist and athlete. "Mad Dog" left it all on the field when she played girls fast pitch softball. That was the way she lived her life too – with no regrets. For all of her successes, they all paled in comparison to her greatest accomplishment. Madelyn gave her life to her Lord Jesus Christ this year and was baptized at Second Baptist Church. She was an active member involved in her small group, Awana, and Children's Choir. Her faith was unshakeable and she leaves her earthly life surrounded by that same loving family and friends and she waits for all of them in Heaven She is survived by her parents, T.J. and Rachel Johnston; brother, Sawyer James Johnston; grandparents, Roy and Jamie Nichols of Van Buren, Mark and Debbie Johnston, and Bryan and Paula Dovers of Benton; great-grandparents, Roy and Ann Nichols, and Carolyn Davis of Van Buren; two uncles, Paul Nichols and Brad Lacy both of Conway; numerous cousins; and her Second Baptist Church Family. Services will be held at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012 at Second Baptist Church, Conway with Brother Mark Dance officiating. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park, Conway with Mark Johnston, Roy Nichols, Paul Nichols, Brad Lacy, Bryan Dovers, and Mike Willcutt serving as pallbearers. The Fast Pitch Softball Teams "Powers" and "Bears" will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., on Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at the church. Arrangements by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway. Online guestbook: www.rollerfuneralhomes.com.
