Lavada "Bonnie" Terry, 80, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away Monday, December 17, 2012. She was born June 27, 1932 in Malvern, Arkansas to the late William S. and Katie B. (Donnelly) Yancey. Bonnie loved to have her family all together and enjoyed cooking and preparing for them. She enjoyed knitting or crocheting items to give to friends and family (plus many baby blankets to the Crisis Pregnancy Center). She was a loving, caring encourager and when she saw a need offered a helping hand to many. Bonnie LOVED her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and prayed for them often. She loved her "sweet Jesus" and her loving church family at Centerfork Missionary Baptist Church. While Bonnie loved celebrating life with her family, now she is celebrating in Heaven with loved ones that have gone before. Her family will miss her tremendously but look forward to seeing her again one day in a glorious reunion! Her favorite Bible verse "Be kind to one another." Ephesians 4:32. Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Nolan Terry. She is survived by her son Nolan W. Terry (Theresa) of Malvern, Arkansas; daughters Vicki James (Glenn) of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Karen Terry of Benton, Arkansas; sister Lorena Bennings of McKinleyville, California; sister -in-law Freda Green of Little Rock, Arkansas; grandchildren Chad Rybard (Christy), Nolan Wayne Terry, Erin Jackson (Ben), Brian Terry, Megan Meeks (Mark); great-grandchildren Allysa Terry, Grace Rybard, John Rybard, and Emma Jackson. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home with Bro. Lynn Baxter officiating. Honorary pallbearers include Sam Mullins, Glenn James, Bro. Bill Driggers, Bro. Paul Halbert, Vicki and Tom Wilson and Bro. Mike Smith. Guests may register at www.caruth-hale.com.
