Annie LaNell Lewis

Annie LaNell Lewis, 80, of Dumas, Arkansas, born March 26, 1932 in Lincoln County, Arkansas. She was the daughter of the late, John W. Smith and Margaret Butler Smith. LaNell passed away on December 18, 2012 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Her parents, a son, Francis Michael Lewis and a brother Buddy Smith preceded her in death. LaNell was a member of Smyrna Missionary Baptist Church; she graduated from University of Arkansas at Monticello and was a retired school teacher. She was also a member of Order of Eastern Star. Survivors are her husband of 61 years, Francis Scott Lewis and their son, John and his wife, Peggy Lewis, and three wonderful grandchildren, Adam Gabrielle Lewis; Amber and her husband, Teddy Kidd; Taylor Rose Perkins and two great-grandchildren, Mason and Blake Kidd. Family will receive friends during visitation from 6-8 p.m., Friday, December 21, 2012 at Griffin Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services held at 2 p.m., Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Smyrna Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Hoskins and Rev. John Young officiating followed by burial in Dark Corner Cemetery. Memorials in memory of LaNell made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Arkansas Affiliate, 904 Autumn Road, Suite 500, Little Rock, Arkansas 72211. Griffin Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
