Lillian E. "Bill" Short of Beebe, beloved mother and grandmother, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 at the age of 95. She was born on Aug. 9, 1917 and grew up at Stoney Point. She had been an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Beebe for over fifty years. She also enjoyed her membership in the Red Hatters and was an "avid conversationalist."
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Edna Fecher; two brothers, Chester Fecher, and Edwin Fecher; and two sisters, Thyla Fecher and Opal Baxter. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Smith (Ricky) of Plano, Texas; her son, Dr. Harold K. Short (Sandra) of Jacksonville; four grandsons, Adam, Clay, Jake and Nathan Short; and a host of special nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to her many friends for your kindness to her over many years. We would also like to thank the doctors and staff at White County Medical Center for the excellent care provided during her illness.
