Patricia Cross Keltner of Little Rock, a devoted wife, caring mother, loyal friend and caregiver to many, passed away Monday, December 24, 2012. Pat was born on April 17, 1937 in Bauxite, Arkansas, to Bob and Joyce Cross. She was known as "Pattee" to her friends in Bauxite and at the University of Arkansas, where she was a member of the Chi Omega sorority and the university Hall of Fame. Upon graduation, she married Bill Keltner, and for most of their 52 years together, they lived in Little Rock as they raised their family and served the community that they loved. A dedicated mother, Pat served as a Girl Scout leader, a PTA president, and a youth counselor at Trinity Methodist Church. She was known for her gentle and quiet spirit, and some of her favorite things were working in her garden and collecting old bottles and sea shells. She loved being with her husband, raising her children, caring for her parents, babysitting her grandchildren, and doting on her faithful dog, Bear. She is survived by her brother, Robert Cross; daughter, Ann Slack (husband Clay and children, Trey and Robert); son, Bob Keltner (wife Amy and children, Peter and Hannah); and daughter, Julie Hughes (husband Mike and children Isabella and Jackson). A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, December 31 at Trinity United Methodist Church, followed by a reception in their Fellowship Hall. Memorial gifts may be made to: The Bauxite Historical Association Museum; or the University of Arkansas Foundation (AAIE Bill and Pat Keltner Scholarship Fund). Arrangements by Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct., (501)224-2200. Pat's online guestbook may be signed at www.littlerockfuneralhome.com.
