Patricia Lee Hunter Curry

Patricia Lee Hunter Curry, 81, of Booneville, Ark., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012 in Fort Smith, Ark. She was born Nov. 13, 1930 in Amarillo, Texas to Earl Roland and Linnie Ann Lee Hunter. Pat was a retired teacher and librarian. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Booneville and the VFW Women's Auxiliary. She was a former school board member and was the founder of the Logan County Historical Society. She enjoyed genealogy, history, shopping and reading. She is preceded in death by her husband Cornie B. "Bub" Curry Jr.; her parents, and two brothers, Robert and Wayne Hunter. Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m., Monday, Feb. 6, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Booneville, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in Booneville under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home. She is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth Corley and husband David of Booneville, Ark.; one sister, Barbara Whitfil of Booneville, Ark.; one wonderful granddaughter, Kayley Corley of Booneville, Ark.; sister-in-laws, Dixie Clem, Virginia Ray, Lynne Curry, Dorothy Hunter Jesse and many other nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be George Lee, Gerald Ware, Eddie Ray Lee, Travis Boyle, Terry Brown, and Bryan Curry. Honorary pallbearers will be her caregivers, Agate Goodman, Jordan Pirraglia, Amanda Pirraglia, Paula Myers The family will visit with friends from 1-3 p.m., Sunday afternoon at Roberts Funeral Home.
