J.W. Red Morris
J.W. "Red" Morris, 88, of Searcy, died Thursday, February 16, 2012. Born December 29, 1923 in McRae, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Floyd and Clemmie Cook Morris. Mr. Morris was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Searcy; a member of the Searcy Masonic Lodge #49 and a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason; retired Fire Chief with Searcy Fire Department; member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs; member of Arkansas State Firefighters Association and served in the United States Army.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Maggie Lou Tole Morris. Survivors include his wife, Maxine Bradley Morris and her two sons, Randy and Gary Bradley; two sisters, Lucille Tapp of Beebe; Rose Marie Nettles of Denver, Colo.; special friends, Jimmy and Pam Stitt of Searcy; Rita Willis of Hickory Flat; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, February 17, 2012 at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home. Services will be 2 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home chapel with interment to follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. For online guestbook, www.rollerfuneralhomes.com.
