Marguerite Louise Shaw, 83, of Sherwood, Arkansas, passed away on February 15, 2012. Marguerite was born in Fox, Arkansas on October 7, 1928. Marguerite was married to Tom E. Shaw for 62 wonderful years. Marguerite worked in several positions as a bookkeeper and secretary ultimately retiring from Sherwood City Hall in 1990. She was an avid seamstress, crafter, and volunteer who lent her talents to the Rock City Sams RV club over 22 years. Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents, James William Harvey and Dolly Ethel Harvey and a brother, Henry. Marguerite was a wonderful, loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and friend. Marguerite is survived by her husband, Thomas Edward Shaw; her sister, Wilma McCall of Little Rock, AR; her brother, Harry Harvey of NLR, Ark.; and her daughter, Marcia Smith and her husband, James Smith of Fort Walton Beach, Fla. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren include Correy Hartzog and her husband, Paul and their sons, Blake and Zachary of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; and Ryan Smith and his wife, Karen, and son, Tyler of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; and many other loving family and friends whom she considered part of her family. Her beautiful smile will be missed but fondly remembered. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Arkansas Hospice, 4 Parkstone Circle, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72116. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Rest Hills Memorial Park.
