The sweet and amazing Katherine "Katie" Anna Knight passed away peacefully on Sunday January 1, 2012. Katie was a true southern girl born in Little Rock, Arkansas on May 31, 1998 to Rudy and Karla Knight, who loved and adored her. Katie truly lived a full life in 13 years. She loved to dance, sing, play sports, and hang out with her adoring siblings. Katie attended the Academy at Riverdale in Little Rock, Arkansas and danced at Tutus and Tennis Shoes in Maumelle, Arkansas. She began to dance as a child and was very talented. She loved to participate in the Miracle League, TOPS Soccer, and the Special Olympics, in which she loved receiving many gold medals. One of Katie's most precious gifts was the experience of being an aunt to her five nieces and nephews, who she loved to played with and cared for. Katie was a perfect example of living life to the fullest and was always full of so much love and kindness for anyone she met. She will be missed but never forgotten. This precious daughter and sister is survived by her loving parents Rudy and Karla Knight, siblings Robert and Elaine Knight, Jonathan and Ashton Knight, Michael and Tiffany Knight, Daniel and Melissa Jensen, Joseph Knight, and Elder Richard Knight, her five wonderful nieces and nephews Mason, Isabelle, Allie, Jordyn, and Cooper Knight, and her grandparents Robert and Donna Mills. The family would like to personally thank Primary Children's Hospital for the love and care they showed Katie during her last week of life. The Celebration of Katie's Life will be held on Friday January 6, 2012 at 11 a.m., Little Cottonwood 16th Ward Chapel, 6350 Rodeo Lane in Salt Lake City, Utah 84121, and the visitation will be one hour prior to her celebration from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. There will be another visitation Thursday, January 5, 2012 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive Salt Lake City, Utah 84106.
