Mary Louise Perser McGathy, 87, of Hensley, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 3, 2012. She was born July 20, 1924 in Phelan, Arkansas to the late James E. Perser and Nellie Gortney Perser. She was a member of New Hope Church of the Nazarene. Louise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and by her own words, "I pray, a friend to many". She loved to crochet, was an accomplished seamstress, loved to sing, read her bible, and write. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, William C. McGathy; parents; a daughter, Norma; two sons, Jeff and Ricky; five sisters and two brothers. She is survived by son, Dave McGathy and his wife, Donna of Hensley; three daughters, Brenda Hicks of Ft. Smith; Vickie Zigler and her husband, Burness of Hensley; Anita Spears and her husband, Donnie of Hensley; 17 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services will be 12 noon, Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home Chapel, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Ark. 72209 (501) 455-5800. Interment to follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
