Rudolf "Rolf" Tice, 61, of Searcy, died Jan. 7, 2012 at his residence. He was born Aug. 14, 1950 in Heidelberg, Germany to the late Ray and Margot Ross Tice. In addition to his parents, Mr. Tice was preceded in death by one sister, Josephine Strayhorn. "Rolf" as many knew him, was a loving father, and loved his family dearly and had a great sense of humor. He worked for Searcy Water & Sewer for over 30 years. Rolf was like a walking encyclopedia, he could name just about any song playing, and he was a big baseball fan. There will never be another man like "Rolf," and he'll be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Patricia Swain Tice; two sons, Eric Tice and wife Ashley, and Tim Bowser; two daughters, Tabitha Taylor and husband Carl, and Serena Tice; two grandchildren, Mackenzie and Remington Taylor; two sisters, Angie Henson and husband Sam, and Nancy Fondren and husband Randy; mother-in-law, Fay Swain; as well as a host of other great family and friends. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
