George Allen Sherrick

After a long and brave fight, our God in heaven returned George Allen Sherrick I, 73, of Maumelle, home to be with his family and friends on Jan. 13, 2012. He is survived by his four children, Allen Dale Sherrick of Florida, Glen Joseph Sherrick of Ohio, George Allen Sherrick II of Wisconsin and Holly Sherrick of Maumelle; grandchildren, Kelsea, Lauryn, Makayla, Danielle, Allison and Eva Sherrick; and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by other grandchildren, two sisters, two brothers, nieces and nephews, and a host of friends including Sherry Frykman and Denny and Marlene Dahlum. He was dearly loved by many and will be missed. Known to his friends as George, Dad to his kids and Papa to his grandchildren, today he is known as our newest guardian angel in heaven. A cowboy at heart, he loved his family and friends, fishing, reading Westerns, bingo and playing cards. To play cards with him was a challenge-he always knew what you had in your hand. Heaven gained an angel and a handyman who can finally relax amongst the perfect mansions in the sky. Fly free with the angels. "He will wipe every tear from their eyes.
