Jo Ann Bernat

Jo Ann Bernat, age 77, of Lake Village, died Sunday, January 22, 2012, at Chicot Memorial Medical Center in Lake Village. She was born November 17, 1934, in Lake Village, the daughter of the late Joe Rosson and Mallie McHan Rosson and was a retired bank teller at Bank of Lake Village for over 15 years and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by a son, Little Johnny Whittle and by a sister, Mary Nell Hargis. Survivors are a daughter, Debbie Moreau and husband, Kim, of Lake Village; two brothers, Marlin Rosson and wife, Charlotte, of Lake Village and Marvin Rosson and wife, Patsy, of Hermitage; two sisters, Barbara Hale and husband, Marion, of Lake Village and Cynthia Ogelvie and husband, Donald, of Lake Village; two grandchildren, Amanda Beard and Michael McAdams and three great-grandchildren, Chase Morris, Chelsea Grace Beard and Brittany Beard. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at Bishop Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 25, 2012, at Chicot Baptist Church with Rev. David Powers officiating. Burial will follow in Lake Village Cemetery under the direction of Bishop Funeral Home of Lake Village. Pallbearers are Jerome Porter, Jim Ogelvie, Donald Ogelvie, Stephen Beard, Michael McAdams and Keith Rosson. Honorary Pallbearer, Chase Morris.
