Weldon Davis Jr.

WELDON "BUTCH" DAVIS JR., age 66, of Jacksonville, passed away Friday, Jan. 27, 2012 at the V.A. Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born Dec. 18, 1945 at Washington, Pennsylvania to the late Weldon and Mary Chadwick Davis Sr. Butch served in the U.S. Navy. He was employed several years with the city of Jacksonville serving as a jailer. Butch was a Deputy with the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department for many years until he retired in 2002. He is survived by four children, David (Andrea) Davis of Houston, Pa., Kim (Jim) Kostic of Canonsburg, Pa., Brenda Davis and Chad Davis, both of Washington, Pa.; three grandchildren; two sisters, Ethel (Charles) Lyons and Joan (R.J.) Crews, both of Jacksonville; mothers of his children, Patty Davis and Debbie Davis, both Washington, Pa. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2012 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Chapel with Reverend Steve Zumalt officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
