Floyd H. Sims

FLOYD SIMS, age 87, of North Little Rock, died Thursday, June 28, 2012 following a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Leila Watson, son, Steve Sims (Rimee) and granddaughter, Zyrene, brother, Loyd Sims (Freda) of North Little Rock, Norman Watson (Carol) of Russellville, Ark.; Debra Miller (Phil) of Bryant, Ark.; Nancy Peters (Gary) of Fort Smith, Ark. and John Watson of North Little Rock, Ark., six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert W. and Elsie McSpadden Sims, two brothers, Wayne and McRae Sims and sister, Bernice Cossey all of Batesville. Floyd served as Vice President of Twin City Bank for over 25 years. Floyd was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific. Floyd's love of family and country music were some of the fun and enjoyable aspects of his life that leaves his family with many good memories. The family will receive friends from 9-10 a.m., prior to the funeral service at 10 a.m., July 3, 2012 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Arkansas State Veterans' Cemetery.
