REV. JAMES T. PHILLIPS, 68, of Little Rock, born Nov. 19, 1943, departed this life on June 29, 2012. He graduated from Jones High School. Rev. Phillips began preaching the gospel at the age of nine years old. He lead thousands to Christ and pastored many. Rev. Phillips pastored at Springfield Baptist Church, St. Peter's Rock in Cato, Ark., Steel Memorial Baptist Church, Metropolitan Baptist Church in Denver, Colo., LoneWah Baptist Church in Monroe, La., Gaines Street Baptist Church, he founded and pastored Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, and he was also Assistant Pastor of St. James Baptist Church on Las Vegas, Nev. Rev. Phillips had a great love for preaching, praying and singing. He sang with: The Gospel Tones of Las Vegas, Nev., The Singing Corinthians of Compton, Calif. Dorothy Jones and the Jones Singers, Zion Five and The Southland Singers. He recorded the single " A Talk With Him" and also a sermon entitled "The Eagle Stirred His Nest." Rev. Phillips owned and operated a Radio Station in Jacksonville, Ark. Rev. James T. Phillips will be truly missed by many. Funeral Arrangements will be announced later.
