Clayton Forrest Shook

Doctor Clayton Forrest Shook, 83, of Eureka Springs, departed this life on June 30, 2012 in Enterprise, Ala. He was born on May 30, 1929 in Hazen, Ark., the son of the late Isaac Leroy and Ethel Clayton Shook. He is survived by his wife of 65, years Danna Jean Owen Shook; two daughters, Danna Hearn and husband, Ronn of Eureka Springs and Sandra and husband, Bryan Simoneaux of Enterprise, Ala.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Dr. Shook received a Bachelor's, Master's, and Dr.'s degree in Bible Launguages from the Missionary Baptist Seminary in Little Rock. He was a Greek instructor with Baptist Missionary Seminary in Little Rock, Mindon, La., and Oxford, Miss. and he pastored several church in Arkansas and Louisiana. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m., Monday, July 2, 2012 at Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen, Ark. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Hazen. Interment will be in the Center Point Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Berryville, Ark. or the Center Point Cemetery in Hazen.
