Chris Lane Gray

Chris Lane Gray, 61, was born in Dermott on January 24, 1951, and went to be with the Lord June 30, 2012. He joined the Air Force in 1969 during the Vietnam War and served as a Load Master on the C-130 aircraft. During his 20 years in the Air Force he earned various awards including, two Air Force Commendation Medals, and two Air Medals. He retired as a Master Sargent in 1989 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Arkansas at Monticello. He was preceded in death by his younger brother Jay Lynn Gray of Arkansas City. He is survived by his parents Darrell and Joyce Gray of Monticello; a sister Katha Gray of Little Rock; a brother Andy Gray and his wife Tammy Gray of North Little Rock; five nieces and one nephew and two great-nieces and three great-nephews. He will be missed by all that knew him. The Funeral will be held at Halley Baptist Church in Halley Arkansas Tuesday, July 3 at 10 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will be in Halley Cemetery.
