Calvin Nutt, age 94, of Malvern, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012 at his home. He was born September 26, 1917, in Hot Spring County, the son of Fonza and Eva Jones Nutt. Calvin was a Missionary Baptist Minister serving in the Central Arkansas area for many years and a member of Damascus Missionary Baptist Church. He was a bricklayer and a World War II United States Army Veteran. Other than his parents, Calvin is preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Ernestine Sampson Nutt; siblings, Dorothy Cunningham, Howard Nutt, Hubert Nutt, Alene Jones and Louada Daniel. Left to cherish his memory, wife, Emogene Cunningham Nutt; sons, Bernard Nutt and Cecil Nutt and wife Evalene all of Malvern; daughters, Nancy Carolyn Bryant-Welch and husband Bob of Cape Cod, Massachusetts and Linda Nutt Tune and husband Johnny of Texarkana, Texas; brothers, Huston Nutt of Kirbyville, Texas, Vance Nutt of Lonsdale and Troy Nutt of Lono; sisters, Pauline Terrell of Beaumont, Texas and Evie Gates of Bauxite; step-children, Marilyn Nusbaum, James Meek (Sheryl), Margaret Seastrum (Scott) all of Malvern and Monty Meek (Tina) of Monticello; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, and ten step-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, July 5th from 6-8 p.m. at Regency Funeral Home in Malvern. Services will be Friday, July 6th at 10 a.m. at Damascus Missionary Baptist Church with Brothers Vance Nutt and Monty Meek officiating. Interment will be at Damascus Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Nutt, Nathan Bryant, Brooks Tune, Gary Golden, Rob O'Connor and Kent Keith. Honorary pallbearers will be Freddie Carl McDaniel, Freddie Vollie McDaniel and Jimmy Jackson. The family would like to give a special thanks to Arkansas Hospice and hospice nurse, Jon Gunnell. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Damascus Cemetery Association or Arkansas Hospice.
