Louise Carlton Clemens, 95, of Nashville, died Monday, July 2, 2012. She was born June 1, 1917 in De Queen, Ark, the daughter of the late David Pink and Ruby Clyde Little Phillips. She was a chapter AM PEO 60 year member; member of the Retired Teachers Association, Delta Kappa Gamma, former member of the Hardy Memorial United Methodist Church, Texarkana, Texas, H.M. Fidelity Sunday School Class and member of the First United Methodist Church in Nashville. Mrs. Clemens was preceded in death by her husband, Brice Carlton, former owner of the Owl Drug Store, Nashville, her second husband, Claude Clemens, both parents, two brothers, Glen Lee Phillips of Winnsboro, Texas and J.B. Phillips of De Queen, Ark. and one daughter, Elizabeth Atha of Nashville, Ark. She is survived by one son, C.C. Carlton of Nashville, Ark.; three daughters, Annette Hoover of Hot SpringsVillage, Ark., Judith Hill of Tyler, Texas and Cay Teague of Nashville, Ark.; one step daughter, Ennis Lee Phillips of Texarkana, Texas; one sister, Helen McRae and husband, Coleman of De Queen, Ark.; one sister-in-law, Imogene Phillips of Winnsboro, Texas; seven grandchildren, Jim Carlton of Nashville, Ark., Joy Hoover Lamb of Austin, Texas, Jay Hoover of Texarkana, Ark., Tim Atha of Corvalis, Ore., Larry Teague of Nashville, Ark., David Teague of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Neil Moss of Houston, Texas; 14 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; a number of nephews, nieces and a host of friends. Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 5, at First Methodist Church, Nashville, with Rev. Paul Coy officiating, burial in Rondo Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m., Thursday July 5, at First Methodist Church.
