Bobbie June Davenport Windham of Sheridan, Ark. was born June 30, 1945 in Sheridan, Ark., the daughter of the late Paul and Arrie Corley Davenport. She was a member of Lost Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan. Ms. Windham died Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Baptist Health Medical Center at the age of 67. Ms. Windham had taught 2nd grade at Sheridan Elementary School since 1994. She was a member of the Arkansas Retired Teachers Association, and she worked at the Parks and Recreation Center as well as taking up tickets at the Sheridan ballgames. She loved to read, fish and talk about her students who she loved dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Greg Windham and sisters, Louise Purtle and Reba Beck and a brother Tony Davenport. Survivors: Son, Jerry Windham of Sheridan; daughter, Stacy and husband Darrell Barnes of Sheridan; brothers, Dean Davenport of Little Rock and Danny Davenport of El Dorado; sisters, Rachel Thompson and husband Glen of Sheridan; Netha Jones and husband Mac of Sheridan; Linda Davenport of Sheridan; step-grandchildren, Bradley and Alicia Barnes and Kayla and Brandon Eggers all of North Carolina; step-great-granddaughter, Mallory Eggers and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and students. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Paul Roberts and Bro. Shawn Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Lost Creek Cemetery.
