Nelda Jennings Ashby

NELDA JENNINGS ASHBY, 64, of Little Rock, passed away Monday, July 2, 2012. Nelda was a devoted Christian; she loved studying the word of God. She was a longtime member of Agape Church in Little Rock. Nelda was a very humble woman that loved caring for others. She worked as an administrative assistant in patient accounts at UAMS for 28 years. Nelda was preceded in death by her father, Albert Jennings. She is survived by her daughter, Robin Jackson; her mother, Otema Jennings; two sisters, Patricia Walthall (Jimmy) and Diane Kirtley (Dale); one brother, Ronnie Jennings (Carol); two grandchildren, Savannah Jackson and Aaron Jay; two nieces, Amy Walthall and Jeannette Wilson and three nephews, Michael Kirtley, Ronnie Jennings Jr., and Jason Walthall. Graveside visitation will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, Ark. on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at noon with graveside services starting at 1 under the supervision of Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home in Alexander, Ark. Chaplain Pat Singer will officiate. The family would like to thank Dr. Neil Wyatt and the staff of Ottenheimer Inpatient Center, at St. Vincent's Infirmary for the love and care they gave Mrs. Ashby.
